Strolling

Bell and Bullock have been producing beautifully crafted street theatre shows and stunning strolling creations since 1991. Delightful comic characters, crazy contraptions and gorgeous costumes, our portable performances can bring magic, fun and laughter to every event.

Our current repertoire includes:

New for 2008:
"BELLADONNA AND HER VENUS FLY TRAPS" - Driveabout

Meet Belladonna the deadly gardener in her Venus Flytrap drawn chariot. She dispenses gardening tips whilst trying to find a tasty morsel for her hungry pets. Meanwhile a charming fly draws near and is besotted by her beauty.
Can he woo her without being eaten alive?

"TIME TROUBLE" - Show.

You are cordially invited to join our two Victorian time travellers, Professor Weft and Ms. Warp, for the "Time Travel Trip of a Lifetime." See morris dancing Vikings, whip cracking Romans and Sir Isaac Newton’s gravity defying diabolo routine. Prepare for absurdly funny nonsense mongering and toothsome tomfoolery on this trawl through the annals of history.

"Whatever the time, place or weather, their yarn spinning slapstick spans the generations and will delight and entertain". " I love it!!"
Ednie Wilson, Arts Development Manager, Gateshead Council.

"TIME TROUBLE" - KS2 Theatre in Education

The show has been developed for a school audience.
Circus skills, magic, clowning, visual comedy and audience participation are all used to help teach Key Stage 2 History and Science.

"Yours is one of the few performances that we have in school each year, which brings only praise and genuinely excited reactions from the pupils."
John Plant, Curriculum Leader, Drama, Southmoor Community School, City of Sunderland.

**********

"CABIN FEVER" - Pirate Show.

Join Captain Bullock and Bosun Bell for maritime mayhem, magic and mirth. Witness the Indian Club Work-Out, Navigating the Celestial Spheres and the dare-devil Dove become a bird-brained Cannon-Ball. A nautical extravaganza of eccentric experiments.

MARITIME Driveabout/Walkabout

Captain Bullock rides Polly, his temperamental, permanently peckish, giant parrot, on a quest for treasure, birdseed and romance. Meanwhile Meranda the gorgeous Mermaid, in her seahorse drawn chariot, flirts with passing handsome sailors. Meet the seahorses, swim “n” dance to disco classics and learn her beauty secrets.

**********

TIME MACHINE Driveabout/Walkabout

Marvel at the incredible Time Machine, a magnificent feat of eccentric engineering. Let the bonkers boffins Warp and Weft show you their box of cosmic secrets. Hear the sound of the universe, experience the big bang, learn how long is a piece of cosmic string and what the winning lottery numbers could be!

**********

"THE CURIOUS ALIENS" Walkabout

From a faraway planet two loveable aliens investigate the earth and its inhabitants. They like to suck out children’s brains in their thirst for human knowledge.
