We are a dynamic, physical theatre company specialising in family entertainment with a fusion of live music, silent comedy and traditional circus skills.
“CLIFFHANGER!” – a real-life silent movie – winner of the Aixa Catalunya prize for “Best Street Theatre Show” at the Fira de Teatre at Tàrrega, Spain in September 2006.
With falling buildings, dare-devil escapology, slap-stick humour and live piano accompaniment “CLIFFHANGER!” has proved to be Bash Street’s most successful and enduring show.
Now it’s been re-worked and re-directed, and it’s even better than ever. It’s an hour-long, silent-movie style production that returns to the golden age of the silver screen.
Inspired by Buster Keaton’s short film ‘Convict 13’, this action-packed family show has been enjoyed throughout the UK by young and old alike.
“CLIFFHANGER!” follows the fortunes of a love-sick café waiter as he becomes innocently embroiled in a prison escape. When the heroine is abducted by a convict, there ensues a series of hair-raising episodes as our hero strives to rescue his new-found love.
In 2006, Bash Street performed the show throughout Europe, with bookings in France, Belgium, Germany and Spain, where “CLIFFHANGER!” won the prize for “Best Street Theatre show” at the Fira de Teatre in Tàrrega, one of the largest street theatre festivals in Europe.
Bash Street shows are truly international – having been enjoyed by audiences of young and old alike at major festivals throughout the UK, Europe, and the Far East since 1991.

With live music, silent comedy, and circus skills, this outdoor production lasts 50 minutes, is suitable for all ages, and requires a flat, level performing area of 14m x 10m, with a height of 7m, and a 240v power supply.

THE RAVIOLI BROTHERS. – comedy unicycling street show. Two gangsters on the run after a bank robbery. Their only means of escape? Two very tall unicycles, and a little help from the audience.
BASH STREET BOBBIES – stilt walkabout. These two old-fashioned 'bobbies-on-the-beat' will patrol the streets directing traffic, push chairs and generally creating havoc. Very good at crowd control and cleaning windows.
